Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka born in Minsk (the capital city of Belarus), is the child of Sergey. Sergey was a hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka is a Belarusian born May 5th 1998. Aryna Sabalenka holds 12 WTA Singles titles. One of which was named "Grand Slam" at the Australian Open 2023. Additionally, she's a fantastic doubles player. She has won two other Majors in this category, the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both with Elise Mertens. Then she also won her Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. This feat was made possible by four couples playing in female doubles. Her ranking went from second to third place in the singles world rankings on 23 August 2021. Her best ranking was also achieved in the month of January 2023. In doubles however she pushed herself to the top of the list in February of the same year following her victory in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player born in Belarus to be a part of the sport of doubles. She was coached by former Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the conclusion of the season in 2019 and partly at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann worked with her for short periods in August of 2020 until September. Antonio Dubrov is her coach as of the start of 2020. Her idols include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
